Mainz/Shanghai, June 2010. Porsche China has had mediaman Shanghai develop a flexible online platform for its 27 current dealers. With this centrally-controlled platform, Porsche is ensuring that it has an unmistakable brand presence in China and it is simultaneously allowing its dealers to integrate their own content easily by themselves. mediaman has also set up a dealer portal for efficient cooperation of the dealers with the Porsche central office in China.
There are standards for the structure, design, image and video formats of the dealer Web sites. Using the editorial system adapted by mediaman, the dealers can exchange a series of content elements themselves as they see fit. Titles, running text, and images are put into the Porsche design automatically during entry.
The new contact options are also clear and user-friendly: From general inquiries about appointments for test drives and service appointments on through to registration for events; all data flows into a central pool via a uniform form system. With the uniform organization of the data and the clearly-defined flows, Porsche China is helping the individual dealers handle inquiries. The operation and administration of the technical platform as well as monitoring is handled from the Porsche central office in China.
In addition, the dealers are networked to the Porsche China central office via a dealer portal: mediaman has tailored this common online work platform precisely to the needs of Porsche and its dealers. Current content is available here, and important data from tracking and monitoring is provided for online marketing. This way, a more transparent and reliable exchange is guaranteed between the Porsche dealers and the central office of Porsche China.
